Mrs Počkar from Ljubljana received a postcard from Koprivnik on the 23rd May 1930. It reads: “Happy and fortunate of Eden like seclusion we send you greetings” An illegible signature follows When looking at the photographs we can nostalgically add that this used to be a lovely village. A village of happy and sad memories, pictures from childhood and large houses. On the bottom left photograph is the largest and oldest house in the village, built in 1603. It was torn down in the fifties of the previous century and used it as road building material. The house of widow Margarete Schneller (Richtarsch), Koprivnik 7, was an outstanding architectural example of a two-story house. The photograph on the bottom right shows part of the rural chapel at the end of the main street; followed by house number 40, the home of Robert Schmuck (Palsch).
